Café Muse

Dementia-Music Café

We host a number of dementia-cafés in the region called Café Muse. They are a fun and friendly place where participants can make new friendships, improve their emotional wellbeing, reduce loneliness and feel valued through co-created musical workshops delivered by professional musicians from The Swan and include refreshments and a light lunch. Find out further down where your nearest one can be located.

We are extending Café Muse to Sense TouchBase Pears, a centre that specialises in working with people with multi-sensory disabilities in Birmingham. We will deliver two sessions monthly, one for children and one for adults with learning and access requirements. To find out more, click here

“Music has such a powerful role in supporting people at whatever stage of their dementia journey. It is such an amazing experience to see people come alive with the music; join in, tap their feet, sing along and really get involved with the sessions.
We are so pleased to be able to bring our professional musicians to these homes & cafés and know that our players are gaining a great deal from the experience too.”
