Diane Clark – Flute


Diane Clark enjoys a very busy and varied career as a freelance flautist.


Leading Orchestras and Ensembles

She has been Principal Flute of Orchestra of the Swan from its beginning and Principal Flute of Longborough Opera Orchestra since 1998. Diane also works with other leading orchestras and ensembles including the RSC, CBSO and BCMG.


Performed Many Concertos

She has performed many concertos with Orchestra of the Swan including Mozart’s Concerto no.1 in G major, Mozart’s Concerto for flute and harp, Malcolm Arnold’s Concerto no.1, Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos no.2 and no.5, Bach’s B minor Suite and John Rutter’s Suite Antique along with premieres by Alexander Goehr, Joe Cutler and Douglas J Cuomo.

Performing Recitals

She also plays regularly in a flute and harp duo, performing recitals and entertaining guests at a variety of different types of functions.

Diane believes passionately in sharing her music with all people and loves being actively involved in outreach work organised by Orchestra of the Swan and Music for Health, playing in care homes and hospitals.
