From tumbling clowns to dancing gnomes, come on a helter-skelter ride through some of classical music's best-loved Winter pieces with the Orchestra of the Swan. Follow the snow as it falls and freezes, the sleighs as they speed across it, and meet the Winterland creatures hidden in the music. Expect fun demonstrations, fascinating insights, games and moving to the music led by presenter Jonathan James.
Jonathan James presents for BBC Radio 3 and with the BBC orchestras, as well as giving talks in venues across Europe. As a conductor, he has worked with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Boston Philharmonic, Prague Symphony Orchestra and Bristol Ensemble. An experienced teacher, he directs the Bristol Pre-Conservatoire.
