Musical Journeys: Online Support

Extended periods of lockdown have had a monumental impact on  music education. To counteract this and to enable our players to stay connected to our communities we have devised a series of videos supporting students at various stage of their musical journeys.

Our Musical Journeys Series is a set of six themed videos developed and  performed by Swan’s Diane (flute), Sally (clarinet) and Oliver (bassoon).

What Can We Expect from Musical Journeys?

All videos comprise of music, song, performance opportunities, animations and gestures to make them as accessible and inclusive as possible for your pupils. Each video is supported by its own Scheme of Work which will enable you to develop further activity ideas throughout your term.

How to use our Musical Journeys.

In your first session, watch the video throughout, pausing where you may like, to explore areas in more detail with your pupils. Sessions 2-5 are developed from the main video and incorporate links all relevant tracks in the video playlists which can be accessed by clicking on the links in bold in the document.

Who are they for?

These videos have been developed with SEND pupils in mind but could be differentiated and used for Key Stage 1 and Lower Key Stage 2 pupils too. See below to begin your own Musical Journeys!
