"In the final concert the young musicians clearly had greater self-confidence as individual players, and their performance as an ensemble was transformed: you could see that they were listening to each other across the orchestra and really collaborating as a creative team. These are such important skills for them to learn and take away, to continue using in their musical practice and in their education more broadly. In the moment it was so rewarding, too, to hear their enjoyment of the music and see their delight as they accomplished something daunting, performing a challenging programme of music to a public and very appreciative audience."
