Following the fantastic success in the 2018-2019 season, Orchestra of the Swan (OOTS) is delighted to announce that the Night Owl Series will now take place at the Stratford Play House Variety Bar.

Due to the success of the first Night Owl Series (with five sold-out concerts), launched last year at the Shakespeare Street Cocktail Bar, OOTS announces a new thrilling, high-quality season at the Stratford Play House Variety Bar to allow more people the chance to experience six superb, cross-genre concerts.

The series kicks off with a journey into the distinctive & compelling cauldron of Cuba fusing elements of Jazz, Mambo, Congo, Flamenco, Hip-Hop and Salsa with unexpected accents of Mozart (on 3 October 2019 with David Gordon, piano). Followed by a celebration of folk-infused Eastern European Music intertwined with the ‘art music’ of classical ‘greats’ (on 7 November 2019); an entertaining evening of brass music with OOTS brass players (on 5 December 2019); an intoxicating slice of Nuevo Tango with bandoneon player Eduardo Garcia (on 6 February 2020); and finishing with a commemoration of Venice, one of the cultural centres of the world (14 May 2020).

On 5 March 2020, OOTS will perform in front of the Big Screen at the Stratford upon Avon PictureHouse (Windsor Street, Stratford-upon-Avon, CV37 6NL), with a live soundtrack to the 1920 horror film The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, composed by Artistic Director and Concert Master David Le Page,  a magnificent combination of music and cinema. The evening will also see the projection of Méliès’ A Trip To The Moon (1902).
