Café Muse

Every Wednesday we host a Café Muse event specifically for Armed Forces Veterans and their families. Café Muse takes place at the Nell Gwynne Studio at The Courtyard, Hereford.

Led and delivered by our professional musicians, the sessions include music from many different genres and cultures, both familiar and perhaps unfamiliar, and encourage conversation through the sharing of life experiences and stories from the past. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn or rediscover a musical skill, participate in the composition of new music, sing along to old favourites and create new friendships.

The Café is free to attend and includes refreshments and a light lunch. Participants are able to join for all or part of a Café Muse session, individually or with a friend/family member/carer.

“Music has such a powerful role in supporting people at whatever stage of their dementia journey. It is such an amazing experience to see people come alive with the music; join in, tap their feet, sing along and really get involved with the sessions.
We are so pleased to be able to bring our professional musicians to these homes & cafés and know that our players are gaining a great deal from the experience too.”
