Music Without Barriers

MUSIC WITHOUT
BARRIERS

Music has been shown to activate and strengthen areas of the brain associated with speech, language, reading, focus, attention, and concentration, with the potential to transform lives, a powerful tool for growth, connection, and self-expression.

Music Without Barriers is the overarching title for our series of music-led workshops for people living with complex disabilities, in special needs schools and at Acorns Children’s Hospice, provided free of charge to participating centres, thanks to the generous support of numerous Trusts & Foundations.

These sessions provide a rich, multi-sensory experience that is uniquely tailored to meet each participant’s strengths and need, demonstrating that there are no barriers to enjoying participatory music workshops, learning new skills and discovering your creative potential.

“Through the magic of music, Orchestra of the Swan has managed to transcend barriers, opening doors to a world of beauty and expression for everyone, regardless of their abilities.”

Sunney Sharma, National Arts & Wellbeing Manager for Sense TouchBase Pear
